i may or may not be looking for a roommate for fall of 2015--depending on the decisions of my current roommates (my sister and her husband). just feeling out the waters for now :)25 years old, i graduated a few years back with a bachelor's degree in international relations with a minor in arabic, but found that i don't like the lifestyle required to use that degree properly. i am now a full-time secretary in north portland, 8am-5pm. i do shower and blowdry my hair each morning, so that noise might be a dealbreaker for you if you are a light sleeper.
i like a quiet, simple life. i'm single and not really interested in dating. i spend a huge portion of my free time alone in my room, except when cooking. right now i rarely use the common areas, or have guests over. i don't mind if you have overnight guests, given head warning and as long as it's a reasonable amount!
as far as cleanliness goes, i typically do my dishes while i'm cooking, or within a couple hours after eating. i cook large meals so that i can bring lunch to work each day, and feed my roommates dinner most nights. so i would be willing to do joint meals, and i don't mind sharing ingredients/cookware. or we can keep it completely separate, if you prefer.
i keep my bathroom clean, and i wash the floors as needed. naturally, i'd like a fairly even split of duties, but i'm not strict about it. i'm looking for someone who largely keeps to themselves and enjoys solitude and a peaceful living situation. being best friends is not a requirement for me, though being friendly is always a bonus. i love animals, so if you have a well-trained/well-behaved pet that would be fine.
i'm liberal, non-religious, 420 friendly to an extent (i don't mind if you smoke it occasionally, but i might get annoyed if it's an every day thing.) i don't drink, but again don't mind if you do in responsible amounts. essentially, if you're a largely calm, respectful person just looking to find rent-sharer, we might be a good match!
