hello everyone!i am a 26 year old professional that just moved to seattle from new york city and i am in the process of finding a room to rent! currently i am staying with a friend on capitol hill and i am looking to stay in this neighborhood. when i was in nyc i was a studio manager at a design firm but i am looking to change paths and will be going to school here in seattle as well as working full-time.
about me: i am a 26 year old gay male. i am from pennsylvania and i have lived in washington d.c., san francisco, new york city, and now seattle! i am a huge traveler and try and spend most weekends away. i am very type a when it comes to cleaning and keeping a comfortable living situation for everyone. besides traveling, i love working out, being outdoors (one of the reasons i came to seattle), trying new restaurants, and meeting new people. i am not a big drinker but definitely enjoy a drink or 2 now and then. i do not do any drugs but i am ok with someone that smokes pot, but nothing else besides that (the occasional partier is ok). i will not be spending much time in the apartment as i will be in school, working, traveling, and i am seeing someone on capitol hill and i will be at his place often. i am very financially stable and will have no problem paying rent/bills on time.
looking for: i am looking for a bedroom to rent on first hill or capitol hill (open to other places close by if you think i would be a good fit). i am looking to pay a maximum of $1050 a month after utilities (again this is not a dead set figure). i do not currently have a car but i am still kicking around the idea of getting one, so parking would be good but not necessary at this moment. i ideally want to live with only one other person but for the right place, i could live with 2 but no more than that. i do not have to be best friends with the person i am living with but i definitely want to click and be able to hang out and talk as we will be living together and its always nicer to like who you are living with. ideally i want a place where i can be at for a minimum of a year, as i do not want to have to move around constantly but shorter term is something i could consider for the right place. i will not be having people over to spend the night often but it is something that i need to be able to do every now and then especially since i will have family and friends visiting me. i am looking for asap but i have time to kill if your apartment is not open for another few weeks.
about you: clean and respectful are my 2 biggest things that i am looking for in a person. age, career, and all of that does not matter to me so long as we get along. i am a very open person and would love to live with someone who is the same. besides that, i am good to go.
