hey, i'm carmen. i like to consider myself a pretty normal person. i like music, movies, broadway, creative writing, and martial arts (my dad teaches martial arts and i've kind of gotten hooked). i'm not really into the whole partying scene, although i do like to go out for drinks every now and then. i guess you should probably know that i work at starbucks as a shift supervisor, and i have a lot of early morning shifts. however, i do try to be very quiet so as not to disturb anyone when i have to leave early, and everyone i've lived with since i got this job says i do a pretty good job of it. basically, i'm pretty much a laid-back and easygoing person, and i like to go with the flow and see where life takes me (although i'm not afraid to make changes and go after what i want). basically, what i'm looking for in a roommate is someone who is respectful of personal space and isn't too much into the partying scene (meaning that you're not going to have loud parties at home on a regular basis--every now and then is fine). and i'm allergic to cigarette smoke, so while i don't mind if you smoke, i just ask that you don't do it around me because it makes it very difficult for me to breathe.
