the house has two bedrooms and one bathroom. there is a nice sized living room and dinning room with a nice size kitchen. there is a washer dryer combo unit on the back porch and a small deck with a barbeque. there is also a nice backyard with an apple tree and pear tree and a shared garage (used for storage and or workshop). the house is in the north berkeley/albany area (near gilman st. & santa fe). it is close to solano avenue, which has many different shops and restaurants. there are bus lines close by that go either to or close to campus and the downtown berkeley business area. the north berkeley bart station is about a twelve minute walk. rent is $775 (or $725 without the use of the garage) plus shared utilities, dsl, dish network tv etc.i am a single man (a young 60ish), semi-retired. i am into natural foods and work with the berkeley farmers markets/ecology center as a volunteer. i am an avid bicyclist. although i have a car, i use my bike mostly within the general area. i ride a road bike three times a week (about 130 mi a week) for fun and fitness.
