this large (9 foot by 17 foot) furnished room is in a private house occupied only by the owner who is a middle-aged male. the tenant will share the bathrooms (one full and one half) and the kitchen.because of city zoning laws, only one tenant is allowed.
the rent includes all utilities, wi-fi and one parking spot in the driveway. cable or satellite tv may be installed by the tenant (you would need to pay for installation as it's not wired).
the room is now as pictured, minus the decorations. (the decorations are available if desired.)
there is one large closet and one very small one. no other storage is available.
one month's rent ($780) will be held as a deposit. the first month's rent and deposit are payable in cash. thereafter, the rent may be paid by cash, check or paypal transfer.
there is no lease or fees, but the room will not be rented for less than a month. a long-term tenant is preferred.
the tenant must be mature, quiet, neat and clean. he or she will be able to provide a copy of a valid driver's license, non-driver or military id and at least one reference.
there is no smoking in the room itself. the owner is not fond of cigarette or cigar smoke, but is not at all fanatical about this. he uses and has no issue with e-cigarettes/vapor. he also smokes a pipe on very rare occasions.
the owner has nothing against social drinking, but will not tolerate heavy drinking or drug use.
the owner has no pets, but loves animals and would welcome a small to medium-sized, well behaved and housebroken dog (he may even be talked into caring for him or her on occasion). other pets will be considered. unfortunately, he is allergic to cats.
