**the bedroom/bathroom for rent is currently undergoing some remodeling and will not be available for viewing until about late september/early october. i am posting this ad to get an early start on potential candidates**i am looking for an awesome roommate to rent out a spacious bedroom and bathroom in a two story, 2bed/2 bath, 1200 sq. ft. condo located near downtown santa ana (about 15 minutes walking).
the bedroom is approximately 11'-8"x10'-2" (120 sq. ft.), has a big closet, and big window overlooking the street. the bedroom is located on the second floor near the top of the stairs and the bathroom is located on the first floor near the base of the stairs.
the unit is located within a safe, gated, condominium community with about 20 other units. the buildings are 3 stories high with an underground gated parking garage that can be accessed by elevator or stairs. this unit occupies the 2nd & 3rd floor. there is one shared wall with the neighbors next-door and there are also neighbors living below.
rent includes:
- bedroom 1 and bathroom 1 on floor plan provided.
- full access to kitchen and all common areas of the house.
- washer and dryer located inside unit.
- one reserved parking space located in an attached, underground, gated garage.
- friends and overnight guests are allowed but they should have their own place to live.
- you are free to come and go as you please as long as rent is paid on time and in full.
-water, gas, electricity, and sewage paid for.
a bit about me:
i'm a 25 year old male, i work full time during the week, and i'm a drummer in a heavy metal band on the weekends. i like video games, star wars, got, reading, drawing, batman, star wars, movies, food, going out, staying in, lazing about, and working hard. i'm a big hockey fan (go kings!) but not in the "i know every player on every team and their salary" kind of way and i also enjoy riding my bicycle.
i'm usually a homebody during the week and typically out and about on the weekends. i smoke cigarettes outdoors, enjoy craft beers indoors/outdoors, and do not condone the use of illegal drugs.
i have two friendly pet snakes (pliskin & hades) and a pet turtle named sammich. my snakes live in glass enclosures in my bedroom and will never bother you and you will never see them unless you are a fan of snakes, in which case that's totally a plus. i know not everyone is as accepting towards my non-furry friends.
what i'm looking for:
ideally i'm looking for somebody that shares some similar interests. i'm not looking for crazy party animals or complete hermits, somewhere in the middle would be good. someone who is a student/working professional/or both and someone who wouldn't mind hanging out sometimes. i wouldn't want an awkward living situation where there's two strangers living together. home should feel like home, you live your life and i live mine.
i'm hoping that by briefly introducing myself, and giving a general idea of what i'm looking for in a potential roommate, i can weed out all the creeps, crazies, and people that are just trouble. i'm looking for someone i can trust when i'm home/away from home and i'm sure you're looking for the same.
while i'm generally a pretty understanding guy, don't want to be a nay sayer, and wouldn't want to put any restrictions on any of your freedoms there are a few things i don't think i mentioned:
- must be human
- any gender, any race, any ethnicity, any size, any shape, any color, lgbt friendly.
- around my age give or take a few years
- no dogs
- no cats
- fish/reptiles welcome
- month to month rent is acceptable (with 30 day notice of leaving)
- a few months to a year preferred and can be extended
