hi, i am in the process of buying the house shown, and expect to have the keys at the beginning of june.. i will be looking for a roommate, professional or student, for shortly after i've moved in, probably a july 1st timeframethe house is very nice, in the best looking neighborhood in north plainfield, a block from a big park. it has a brand new kitchen, with gas stove, microwave, fridge, dw. fully finished basement where i'll put a pool table and small bar for entertaining. first floor has a dining room and large living room with woodburning fireplace, hardwood throughout, tile kitchen. lr, dr, kitchen will be shared.
upstairs has 3 bedrooms, one of the two larger ones is what i'll be renting out, the third is reserved as a guest room, and there is one full bath on 2nd floor, which would be shared. .. i plan to fully furnish the bedroom, but if the prospective roommate wants to bring their own bedroom furniture instead, that's fine.
utilities included, and tv/internet
rent will be $800 a month, with $1200 security deposit. this includes all utilities, with the possible exception of power, if it unreasonably high.
roommate/owner details: my name's matt. i'm a single 30 guy who works in it industry and is applying to rutgers grad school this fall for mba. i'm an artist, craftsman, techie, movie buff with a dry sarcastic sense of humor, very laid back and friendly to all. i work from home most days and would be at school most weekday evenings. i cook, and want to keep the house pretty clean most of the time, so i hope my roommate would clean/pick up after themselves and help out. for a roommate, i'm open to girls and straight guys, and hope for a friendly person that i can get to know pretty well, not just a tenant. you must be employed, or a college/grad student with an assured income, and be able to prove that with pay stubs etc.
