i'm looking for a roommate to share my 2-bedroom 1-bathroom apartment on the first floor of a duplex (two-family house) on a quiet side street in melrose. the apartment is fully furnished by me, including couches, dining room table, and washer and dryer in the basement, so you only need to worry about furnishing your bedroom, but i'm also open to making room for other things. i'm one of the tenants so the landlords will ultimately need to approve whoever moves in, to include a background check, credit check, and lease signing.

in addition to a spacious living room, dining room, kitchen, and full bathroom, there's a large basement for storage, front closed-in porch, small back deck, and a driveway in back of the house with room for 2 cars (and i use one of the spots for my car). guests can park on the street. we are a 10-minute walk from wyoming hill commuter station which is a 15-minute train ride to north station downtown (that's how i get to work). we're also a short bus or car ride away from oak grove station on the orange line. melrose is a cute small town with a suburban feel and great areas to walk around (parks, the fells, a lake), but still super close to malden and boston if you like to go out. the apartment is a 10-minute walk from main st in melrose which has lots of cute shops and restaurants.
