we are neighborhood services, a small non-profit agency that supports adults with developmental disabilities as they become active and respected members of their communities. we are in search of a full-time live-in roommate who would be interested in living and working with two adults with developmental disabilities. currently, we have an open position in the evanston/wilmette area living with two women. duties include assisting the associates (people with disabilities) with their daily living skills, cooking, cleaning, as well as transporting and helping them participate in various community activities. most importantly we are looking for people who are interested in a unique shared living experience and can help facilitate a warm and caring environment for the people we support. applicants should be dedicated, reliable, and have a strong desire to work in a helping profession.
high school diploma or ged is required. you must have a valid driver's license and be over 21 years old. also, state law mandates that we cannot hire any person who has criminal convictions. interested parties should call tony at (773) 486-6070.
