Additional Information

we are looking for an additional housemate in a large house in downtown carrboro. the
house has nine bedrooms and six bathrooms over four levels and is very well appointed, but
first a bit on the living situation. the house currently has 7 guys and 1 girl, mostly in their mid-late 20's, but there are several residents moving out/out of the area over the next few months
so we will be getting new folks in as that happens. we cooperate to maintain the common spaces
(a cleaning lady also comes through every other week) and keep a good vibe in the house.
helping with these items is part of the resident expectations.

socially the house is a really fun environment: the house is large enough that everyone has
their own space and need not socialize extensively unless desired, however a big part of the
appeal of a situation like this is the relaxed, social atmosphere, and we are desirous of people
that will add to that atmosphere, not detract from it.

some additional house info: the house has four levels: the basement features a rec room with
two hdtvs, an entertainment center, a sound system and a built in bar. a covered walk out
patio is accessed from the basement. the first floor houses the kitchen, dining room, and living
room with another entertainment center and another large hdtv. a front porch is accessed from
the living room and a screened in back porch with seating arrangements and a hammock is
accessed from the kitchen. a large balcony is accessed from the second floor.

two rooms and two bathrooms are located on the first floor, five rooms and two bathrooms
on the second floor. all but one of the rooms is a corner room with two windows and great
day-lighting. the basement and 3rd floor feature apartments with their own bathrooms. all of
the rooms have their own basic cable access and ethernet hookup for the high speed internet
(wireless is also available throughout the house). included in the $550 rent is electricity, gas,
water, trash, the cleaning service for the common spaces, digital cable and tivo for the three
common space tvs, basic cable for the rooms, and a netflix/hbo go/amazon tv account that is synced with the two common room xboxes and smart tv. the kitchen has all new stainless appliances and is fully stocked with pans, dishes and silverware. common items such as paper towels, dish detergent, etc. are covered by the house.

the home is just a short walk from downtown carrboro near wilson park and is located along
a bus line. there are approximately 12 parking spots associated with the house and additional
overflow parking available.

full disclosure: we do throw occasional parties, but this is not a party house by any means, and
the house stays really calm generally. there is also currently a lovable, well-trained, quiet dog in the house.
