why live in a cramped studio? why sublet or share a small, dark apartment? why settle for another neighborhood when you really want park slope? rent a share in our beautiful 4 story park slope brownstone and be smack in the middle of one of nyc's greatest neighborhoods. . one bedroom available from january 1st. the rent is affordable at $1550/month including utilities for a full year lease. no short term inquiries please, we are looking for a minimum one year commitment. 2.5 bathrooms, spiral center staircase, country style eat in kitchen, charming backyard with oldest registered black walnut tree in brooklyn, non-working marble fireplace mantels in every room. this is a one family home with all common areas shared. the two tenants have their own floor and share one bathroom between the two bedrooms. no pets, no smoking in the house. house common areas are tastefully furnished but the bedroom for rent is unfurnished. tenants can bring some furniture also for the common areas and we can rearrange to accommodate. this is a unique rental situation. my wife and i live on the top floor but split time between brooklyn and europe, so we are here only half the time. in summer we also have our 10 year old daughter with us and a visitor or two from europe during the summers. so you must feel comfortable having a kid around the house a few months out of the year. the other six months of the year the two tenants have the whole house to themselves. we have rented this way for years and always treat our tenants not as "boarders" but as if our house is their home as well. the other tenant is a great lady who is in her second stint living with us!the house is in the north slope, a few steps away from 7th avenue shopping, 5th avenue dining and wonderful prospect. short walks to the 2,3, f, b, q and r trains.
