hey, we're 3 roommates looking to rent a room in our house in flatbush - steps from flatbush avenue and the b41 bus. it's a 10 minute walk to the 2, 5 trains at the brooklyn college/flatbush avenue stop. laundry, food and target are all within walking distance. we live one block from a park and 3 blocks from a precinct.who we are - 3 friends who moved here last year and fell in love with the neighborhood and space. we all work early hours and help take care of the house. 2 of the roommates are married and have an almost one year old. please take into consideration that although you will have your own space - you will still be living in a house with a baby. you will be upstairs and the baby is downstairs so you don't need to worry about noise. if children make you uncomfortable this probably isn't the house for you. we are laid back people who like to cook, watch movies and we laugh a lot!
who we're looking for - a female between the ages of 24-35 who has a steady job and can commit to living here for a year ( or gives us at least 30 days notice if leaving earlier). we don't care about guests as long as they are not loud after 10pm during the week when we have work the next day. we all try to give each other notice if someone is sleeping over as well. please be motivated to help take care of the house. (taking out garbage and keeping front clean)
the space-
master bedroom on second floor of house. there are huge windows overlooking the street and a smaller window facing the house next door. the room gets great sunlight and a nice breeze. you can comfortably fit a queen bed, 2 night stands and 2 larger dressers. there are also 2 closets. you will have your own linen closet in the hall as well. there is one bathroom that we share and keep clean. we also have a yard that we have a few bbqs in during the summer months.
what you pay- $1000 including wifi but con ed is about $45-50 per month and in the winter we pay about $50 per person for heat through national grid.to move in we would need first and last month's rent.
