i am renting 1 br + entire living room (partially furnished, but can be completely empty if needed) out of my 2 br coop.

i own this apartment and have painstakingly renovated it over the past 14 years. the building is on a charming tree lined street near shopping, transportation and other local amenities. it's 3 quick blocks to the f & g trains with fast access to ocean parkway and the prospect expressway. a brisk 8 minute walk will take you to ditmas park, which features terrific restaurants, coffee-houses, bars, and organic grocery stores. the b67/b69 buses run frequently from kensington to downtown brooklyn (including the barclay center), while the b35 bus plies church avenue (making connections to the b/q and 2/3 as well.)
the apartment has a high ceiling, hardwood floors, exposed brick, large windows, a brand new hi-efficiency gas-range, a new refrigerator and a dishwasher.
the room itself (normally unfurnished) can be furnished with a beautiful queen sized platform bed/mattress upon request. it contains two large closets as well.
i've installed a new sink/cabinet and shower in the bathroom as well.

other amenities (included in rent): electric, high speed internet/wi-fi

the building is located in an 85% owner-occupied co-op. i presently also serve on our co-op's board of directors, which makes it easier to deal with repairs, and i have a good working relationship with the management co.
the neighbors are friendly, the neighborhood is safe and street-parking is relatively easy to find (for brooklyn!)

i am looking for a responsible individual (m/f) who values cleanliness, has environmental consciousness, and will treat the apartment as if it were their own.

i'd be looking for 1 month's deposit and we'd sign a lease as well. the coop will require basic income info to run a quick background check.
