i’m a mature, mid-thirties woman looking to share my apartment in the heart of prospect heights, brooklyn. if you wish you could have your own place but can’t quite afford it, this comes close. you will have two private rooms to yourself (as do i), with a shared kitchen and bathroom.

i get along with most people but am a stickler for cleanliness and courtesy. though i sometimes have friends over, i prefer to socialize elsewhere, preserving the privacy and quiet of my home. if you are a responsible, respectful, reliable person who cleans up after him/herself and keeps reasonable hours, this apartment is for you!

for one person only, no couples. no smoking, drugs or parties. occasional out-of-town guests acceptable. pets considered on a case-by-case basis. longer term lease preferred, but four month minimum (to the end of june 2011).

• first room - l: 12'8" w: 10'5" with ceiling fan, cable hook-up and two west-facing windows overlooking the rear garden
• second room - l: 8'8" w: 8'6"
• $1,200 per month; heat and hot water included
• available march 1, 2011 (4 month minimum)
• gas and electricity not included ($60 per month average)
• shared kitchen with new appliances, including dishwasher and microwave
• shared bathroom
• laundry in the basement
• garden access
• seven minute walk to the b/q, 2/3 and c subway lines
• safe, trendy neighborhood with close proximity to bars, restaurants, shops and grocery stores
