we are looking for a roommate to sublet a room in our house. september 1st move-in date. 1-month rent security deposit. it is 15 min walk to the nih. there is also a bus stop 1 block away for bus 47 and 30 which can take you to nih and downtown bethesda in 5 mins. there is also a dc bike share station. it is easy access to navy hospital and capital beltway. the lease will end oct 30th, and it can be renewed then. we know this is a short sublet, but our roommate recently found work in a different state and needs to find a suitor immediately.about the house: it is a furnished 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom. 1,900 sqft in the house. 7,800 sqft yard+480 sqft garage (the place is huge). w/d in basement. there is a huge amount of storage, a basement, a split-level living room, another real living room, dining room, even laundry room. there's a 2-door garage as well. lots of space, in short. we have a small, 8-lbs chihuahua who is pretty chill. the kitchen has a dish washer, garbage disposal, oven, stove, fridge, lots of counter space, and lots of cabinets. the backyard has a deck with a picnic table to enjoy your dinner outdoors, host a bbq, etc. we have 1 tv in the living room with an xbox. the garage will fit 2 cars, unless you drive a big suv.
about the room: this is a huge unfurnished bedroom. it will fit a king size bed, 1-2 bed stands, a large dresser, a lamp, and probably 2 more bookshelves. it also has a walk-in closet. the bathroom is all yours, however, it is only a shower, toilet, and sink. no bathtub.
about us: we are both female in our mid 20's. we work 9-5 typically, m-f. we are nice and friendly toward each other, but we have our own group of friends. we cook frequently and enjoy good company. we enjoy happy hours, dining out, and just being with friends. the dog is friendly and is not destructive to household items such as furniture and shoes. the two humans and the dog love people :)
