renting large room in a two bed room house only 5 blocks from lsu campus. off street parking for cars and covered locked parking for motorcycles/scooters. the room is not furnished but the rest of the house is. you would be responsible for 1/2 the rent and utilities.the rest of the house: there is a large (exact same size as bed rooms) living room, even larger kitchen and a laundry room (washer and dryer included). we are responsible for keeping up the lawn but it's really not that big and only takes about 10min to mow. there is a back yard but with so much shade grass doesn't grow. out back there is a shed large enough to park three or four motorcycles. the shed is equipped with power (although you have to plug it in) and most of the tools required to work on said bikes. out back i also have a box trailer that can be used as storage.
about me: i'm a middle age professional. i work four ten hour days a week and a few hours on friday. on weekends i'm usually off doing something. camping, fishing, hunting, or just staying with family in lafayette/new iberia area. usually on the motorcycle. i do own a tv, but don't have cable right now. cable internet, yes but not tv. i would consider getting a box with a roommate but alone netflix and video games are plenty of distraction for me.
looking for: ideally i'm looking for a roommate that is either a grad student or professional. i will consider under grads that are serious about school. probably not going to accept a third year freshman. this would be a perfect place for a short term renter. finishing school and tired of a hour long commute to get to campus? been there and it sucks. that is two hours of potential study or sleep missed just sitting in the car. mostly the latter.
